WORK EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:

Desirable
· 6+ years experience in IT with hands on experience in Java, C++.
· Experience in front office trading environment
· Experience of designing / implementing solutions for interfacing different systems
· Electronic trading knowledge
TECHINICAL/BUSINESS SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
Desirable
· Knowledge and grasp of the Java and C++ programming languages
· Unix Operating System / Unix shell scripting
· NT/DOS shell scripting
· Unit testing - developing comprehensive test harnesses for programming objects
· Troubleshooting client issues in technically diverse environments
· Knowledge and grasp of using COM components in VB
· Knowledge and grasp of SQL
· Knowledge and grasp of the FIX Protocol
· Working with Pub/Sub Messaging Systems
· Automating regression tests
· Automating build/deployment processes using Ant
· Automating build/deployment processes using Make
