[EZLINK] Require AIX Technical Support Specialist

Hi All,

One of the MNC client is currently looking AIX technical support
specialist.

Position : AIX Technical Support Specialist

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Duration : Long-term

Description



Documentation and reporting Responsible for incident management team
and HA incident Management on UNIX Platform Problem Mgmt on UNIX.
HA engineering for architecture of HA environment with OS / patch
Release management, Application load and maintain configuration of
Central OS image servers.
Scripting for monitoring/ automating the Sys admin activity for
change scheduled as projects on multiple servers
Routine Performance Analysis, Capacity analysis, security audit
analysis reports to customer for necessary planned changes
Analysis of availability, configuration management for reporting to
customer
Disaster Recovery planning
Responsible for Standard Operating procedures issuance to incident
management team.
Change initiator, non HA change co-ordinate with incident management
team and HA change executer with technical change documentation.
Demonstrate leadership and provide technical expertise on task
performance to those with less experience.
Define and ensure adherence of ITSM processes, deploy tools to
continuously improve the quality and efficiency of GCM services.
Overall technical ownership for including:
Incident, Security, Change and Problem Management
Ownership of the account related technical documentation
Technical consulting
Communicate to operations staff/customer any planned or unplanned
disruption of business.
Focus on Quality of Service with problem trend analysis, deep level
root cause analysis and tracking of actions to eliminate recurring
incidences with preventive actions.
Prepare and review system performance and availability reports on
servers, monitoring key process indicators such as uptime, event
triggers, daily backup success rate, taking action when there is
deviation from acceptable targets
Focus on total cost of ownership through productivity enhancements,
server consolidations and other continuous quality improvement
project.
Plan and execute proactive maintenance on servers through effective
capacity planning and change management. Be able to perform effective
impact analysis and promote change communication using change
management tool.
Server Patching Deployment
Involve in Technical Escalation Management
Project planning and implementation


Qualifications



Bachelor Degree in IT - Minimum of 5 years experience within IT
Operations, infrastructure services support (Systems and Network
management), operations monitoring and end user support OR
Diploma in IT - Minimum of 5 years experience within IT Operations,
infrastructure services support (Systems and Network management),
operations monitoring and end user support AND
Minimum of 4 years in-depth technical knowledge of AIX
administration, configuration and troubleshooting experiences
Installation, Configuration & Administration of IBM AIX 5L for Power
Version 5.1, 5.2 & 5.3 for p5/p4 range of servers, pSeries, RS/6000,
SP2 and p690 Regatta Servers.
Installation & Configuration of LPARs, DLPARs & VIO Servers.
Configuration & Administration of HMC(Hardware Management Console)
Installation, Configuration and administration of IBM HACMP(Ver 4.4)
Servers.
Configuring & Administration of NIM (Network Installation Manager)
Server & Client for remote Installation Management.
Working knowledge of NIS/NFS & TCP/IP Configuration.
Administering & Management of Volume groups, logical Volumes & File
systems (JFS2)
Installing Microcode updates, AIX Fixes/Patches & Maintenance Levels.
Good knowledge of shell & PERL scripting.
Knowledge of AIX Security Tools/ Applications.
Performance Analysis & Capacity Management
Knowledge of BCP & DR
Knowledge of ITIL processes in IT Service Management
Knowledge of Enterprise Storage System & Backup Solutions
Knowledge of any Database System
