Re: [EZLINK] Skype in Mobile

Technically, the mobile phone has to be connected to the internet to use
Skype/Google Talk i.e. WiFi enabled and within a HotSpot. Another option is
to use the Skype WiFi phones available from many vendors amongst whom SMC
is more visible here. To my knowledge Google Talk is not available in any
phone although there is one vendor in Taiwan who is supposed to be making
GoogleTalk enable WiFi phones.

However, if you are at home AND have a broadband connection then you can
possibly use the above stated WiFi phone from SMC or use the more
elegant Philips phones which are dual use i.e. they are normal DEC phones
for landline use but can also be use for Skype, MSN etc. The real bonus is
that these phones are cordless !! Check it out at Courts outlets for these
techie phones from Philips (going for S$250).

Thanks
