Permanent Position for
Business Analysis around Fixed Income feeds, Analysing requirements from
both a client data and instrument reference data perspective
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Business Analysis• Gap analysis between current and future data
feeds Document full data and process flows around the creations and
maintenance of instrument data• Gather user requirements based round
static and timeseries data from business functional groups• Develop
functional specifications from business requirements using a variety of
modeling tools including UML• Writing of test scenarios and scripts
based on functional specifications• Examine current and future state
environments suggesting enhancements to further optimize both technical
and non technical processes ( BPR )• Work with disparate business
units to ensure a clear and consistent project road map is established
up front• Understand the project management lifecycle•
Communication• Reporting of progress, risks and issues to the IT
management in Singapore and London.• Must be able to communicate
effectively with other IT team members, other project members, managers
and business users.• Must be able to build a lasting relationship
with the business at all levels• Must be able to participate in a
culture of "knowledge sharing" within the application team
globally and within the wider Shared ServicesMotivation• Ability to
self manage but also escalate key issues to senior leaders where
necessary • Tenacious individual that is able to manage conflicting
business requirements through to common functions
Qualifications/Education Required
Degree educated
Qualifications/Education Preferred
Experience Required
3-5 years Business Analysis experience within a similar environment,
specifically around Reference Data. Understanding of both static
reference data and time series (pricing) data across bonds, equities.
Experience Preferred
Prior knowledge of the following vendors:Bloomberg Standard and Poor
Reuters Moody Fitch
Skills / Aptitude Required
Knowledge of project life cycle methodologies Structured approach to the
detailing of requirementsThe ability to interact with senior business
sponsors, gaining their trust and respectStrong team player,
demonstrating excellent communication and peer management skillsSelf
starter that possesses the ability to manage their own time and
deliverables without constant interaction from senior management
