Pls dont use the words like Bangloreans not so helpful as such
in this group.Let us remain as a people of one nation.

some times per day we get 200-300 mails and from that if some one is not answering ur mail doesnt mean that they not helpful..........moderateor pls take care of such mails.

ofcourse i am not a banglorean but i am proud to say they are very calm,friendly and quiet natured people this is from my experience of working in banglore for 3 years.

i couldn't get ur query you said "are the shops open during dec 24?? "
Any doubt ?? its a festive season and christmas newyear all coming together....
how do you think the shops amy open or not? i really pity ur ignorance......



any way info i know abt banglore that may be useful to you.

1. Try to visit koramanga Forum it too good you can get almost all branded goods
there , its an modern shopping complex like spencer chennai. The theaters in top floors play all new releases of all languages its a good experience of watching movie.

2. In marathahalli you have almost all the branded seconds outlets and also a good cine plaza. you can see a lots of crowd especially IT guys on satdays and sundays.

3. MG Road , richmond and residency roads are known for their shopping malls and its a real place for hang outs can see lots of youngsters enjoying there.there are some good pubs like times pub, downtown.........etc with good music.

4. Nandhini Andhra style restaurants there are about 12 of them they serve mouth watering biryanis and non veg items along with liquor.

5.CMH road in indra nagar is also good there you have sridevi restaurant and some shopping stores.
6.Shivaji nagar Commercial street here you can see the exclusive outlets of almost all brands. shopping in shivaji nagar is an memorable experience. next to shivaji nagar there is one street with muslim name i dont remember its name there you can find punjabi dress material for good price and quality, kurthas and sherwanis ...

7. city outskirts are fully covered with dhabhas and restaurants i cannot name there thare are so many....
8.There are some theme parks in bannergatta road and near palace grounds....etc.
9. There is one big lord shiva templs in airport road near to manipal hospital.....
10 . vidhan soudha (karnataka assembly) is a good place to see it resembles a court.


if possible try to visit mysore there you have forts , temples , reserviours....
KRS RESERVIOUR ON KAVERI... CHAMUNDI BETTA ... raj mahal and rani mahal is converted into star hotel can be seen in lots of rajaaini kanth movies ashramas,zoo.........etc etc on the way to mysore you can see tippus fort palace lot many famous temples.


and there are lot many to say rest of them pls explore on your own.

some fact abt banglore.

1. Banglore crossed silicon valley i terms of IT according to survey silicon valley's total IT employee strength is abt 1.2 lac where as B'lore alone has got 1.45 lac in 2003 now it must have grown even more...thats why its called IT capital of India

2. Highest number of foreigners residing.
