Mobile Handset Software Engineer
Job Description:
Atleast 3 years experience in Mobile handset application development and
testing.
2. Have experience in embedded & real-time application on single or
multi-threaded OS. Good understanding with assembly language.
3. Experience in Mobile phone software internal Architecture, OS Porting
/ Device Driver Development and integration, MMI Framework / Middleware
component development, Windows CE , Brew and Symbian,
4. Programming experience in UNIX, LINUX & Windows environment.
5. Preferably familiar with wireless applications such as:
- Internet Browser & Markup Languages
- Wireless Messaging (MMS/EMS/SMS/Email)
- Multimedia (camera, display, sound, pictures, video-MPEG4,H.263,
H.264)
- Personal Information Management
- SIM and STK applications
- Java Technology, in particular Java 2 Platform, Micro Edition (J2ME)
- Data communications standards/protocols (RS232, USB, SPI, IrDA,
Bluetooth)
6. Desired to have knowledge in cellular handset design and network data
communications standard for GSM and UMTS protocols. Knowledge of
embedded Linux/Symbian/WinCE OS application or server development will a
advantage.
6. Familiar with version control software such as CVS, ClearCase is a
plus.
Responsibilities :
1. Design & develop mobile phone man-machine interface (MMI). Customize
third party MMI according to project specific requirement.
2. Design, develop & debug mobile phone applications. Specific areas
include browser, messaging (MMS, EMS, SMS, Email, IM), J2ME, multimedia
(camera, display, sound, picture, video), data communication (RS232,
USB, SPI, IrDA, Bluetooth), SIM/STK, voice applications.
3. Perform usability test & interoperability test for mobile phone
software.
