Role : QA Manual & Automation Tester (Fixed Income & Automation Scripting)
Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing Manual Test cases
- Writing new automated test scripts for regression/ functional testing
- Maintaining and extending existing scripts/ automation framework to accommodate changes in the functionality
- Design scripts that meet the Best practices and the Industry standards for easy maintenance and extensibility
- Manage automated test suites including source code control and integration with test management tools
- Generating Test data
- Issue reporting and tracking
- Interfacing with the development teams and business representatives
- Performing Data validation using database querying tools
- Planning and executing Recovery and Failover tests
- Generating and executing SQL and UNIX commands
Essential Skills:
- 3-5 years minimum working in QA or Development testing for investment banking; preferably a global firm.
- Proficient with test automation tools for functional test script development, management and execution.
- Manual test case development and execution where necessary. Issue tracking.
- Automated Test tools experience - Mercury Quick Test professional / WinRunner
- Good manual test preparation and execution skills, having moved up to automation with at least 2 years experience in the latter.
- Good knowledge of Securities Industry and Fixed Income products
- Solid basic knowledge or experience of enterprise systems
- Test management experience with Mercury Quality Center (Test Director) or other tools
- Issue reporting and tracking preferably with tools such as Mercury Quality Center or Test Director, PVCS Tracker or Compuware TrackRecord
- Proficient SQL skills
- Proficient UNIX skills
Desirable Skills:
- Testing experience with Capital Markets applications, preferably with Fixed Income trading background / domain knowledge
- Experience with database tools ( i.e. DB Artisan)
- Knowledge of VB Script, Perl Script, Java Script, Shell Script
- Experience working with a global team
- Professional testing certification
- Basic knowledge of Fixed Income products/ areas :
-Repos
-Swaps
-Bonds
-Mortgages
-Treasuries
-Options
-Reporting/Settlement
