Hi,
The candidate will be part of the Infrastructure team. The selected candidate will be fully responsible for the day-to-day maintenance/ monitoring of a series of IBM pSeries Servers which host different application systems for supporting the Asia pacific region. And also to ensure all production Severs are in good health and reliable status. The candidate will also need to work closely with application teams to provide technical support for the new deployment to AIX machines.
Main Job Scope are as followings: - · Daily Health Check of IBM pSeries, AIX, Oracle DB and Application
· Manage user/application request for maintenance of Unix users’ profile
· Create filesystem if new site is open (or needed by application), do proper setup using cluster management to make the filesystem part of Cluster environment.
· Create/setup print server including the print queue requested by every site and document it down.
· Perform daily/weekly backup of AIX systems, application and data using shell scripts and BrightStor ArcServe Backup v11.x
· Perform AIX Maintenance Level patch
· Network administration, Network Printing, Network time protocol setup, troubleshooting connectivity and system performance.
· Upgrade AIX by release and version if needed by application.
· Document all documentation related to the projects, include Service reports from IBM for pSeries H/W and AIX for future reference.
· Capacity Management, Configuration Management, System Availability Management, Manage Licenses Renewal, Software Upgrade.
· Contact IBM support if H/W an/or AIX problem occurs and coordinate with user/application team if downtime is needed.
· Install and setup Oracle DB Server, Create/Manage tablespace, perform DB/Schema backup exports.
· Manage New servers installation including H/W upgrade, coordinate IBM Technical Support/Business Partner for those installation and setup effectively and within the scheduled time frame.
