You can carry anything upto 25K if you have stayed in Singapore for more than 3 days and no one can ask you to pay anything !.. simply show them the printout of the custom and excise duty webpage. You could find all the details on http://www.cbec.gov.in/cae/trvlers-info.htm.

Thanks for ur valuable suggestions. I forgot to mention the destination i.e. Hyderabad.
There also the same problem with customs. For laptop and handycam i paid 1000/-rs last time. Even after showing my PR card they didnt leave. I told them that i will take back my things but they didnt listen. I think this problem is through out India.

It depends in which school you wants to put your Kid.

If it's bhavans then he is elligible for Primary 3.Indian school
session starts in April same as India.

If it's Singapore Local schools then they have session starting
during january/Feb.

In new tekka mall building, at serangoon travels (1st floor) i paid $55/- for malaysia visa. It is multiple entry visa and 1 year valid. This validity depends on the period of ur employment pass. It takes 3 working days. U have to take 2 passport size photos, passport and EP card. U can take printout of the application form and fill it before only if u want.

I drank the vision and the dream when I relocated to
India from US a couple of years back. For large parts,

hour 5 day week, but they would expect the Indian boys
to slog their back up. And as fools, we oblige.

I have seen Indians only too obliging to compromise
their family (often taking the family for granted) and
slog on behalf of the others. Hey, this is colonilism
back - only in a slightly different form.

Just look around and ask - how many Indians would
oblige to put in 12+ hours days (spinning their spouse
on a backburner) and relatively how many foreigners
would do the same?

As a nation, we have to promote the infosys's of the
world - where we build a business that inspires awe
and admiration and dicdate terms, energize our talent
pool, but ABOVE ALL, keep in mind that YOU WORK TO
LIVE AND NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND.

This righteouness is fundamental to the social fabric
of a SuperPower.

When I landed in Singapore 3 yrs back ,the enterpreneur spirit in me
drove me to do a quick survey on this because back home in India I
have good supply sources of such items.these were my observations

-the individual customer segment: the locals do not appreciate this
genre of art ( tanjore painting),because a genuine t.Painting in
India 1.5 ft/2ft costs starts Rs.6000 onwards depending on the
intricacies.So if you add up teh shipping cost etc it will cost a
fortune,which the locals are not willing to shell out,their tastes
vary from our counterparts in India.

If you target the NRI segment also very few of the affordable lot
living in own house are interested in doing up their homes ,which
again makes the market very small

The professional interior decoraters who take up commercial projects
prefer oriental arts to suit their clients' taste

you have to go via the curios and arts & crafts retailers located in
Little India arcade,but they all have local sourcing agent in India
who do it for a very competitive price and send it in shiploads,and
my observation was that all the arts retail shops and Push carts are
owned by 2 or 3 operators,who ahve a negotiating edge over you
although ur products are outstandingly creative.

Moreover most of the artworks from India especially the t.apinting
depicts figurine from Hindu mythology ,which is no as
enthusiastically adored by the market here unlike back home.

small palm sized souveniers within S$10 may have a good demand yet
after all this understanding I let my e'spirit to rest in peace
because the ROI is not proportional to the Time effort or money you
invest,So after all this if you are still optimistic, go ahead and
do your own survey,my observations may be wrong.

Hi,

Your son will get admission in Primary I. Go to Ministry of education office near Buonavista MRT station and get application form. You need following documents in originals while submitting application form
1. Birth certificate
2. Previous school mark sheet and T. C
3.Passport copy
4.Re-entry permits for father and mother
5.NRICs

They will provide seat within ikm radius from your residence stated in IC. You can aslo choose the schools nearby. Also you can contact near by schools. Note the schools are about to close by next week then u have to go to M.O.E.

Any person who is legally present in Singapore may apply for a visa here.
