[EZLINK] Tax liability

Hi,

I have come to Singapore on 10th Nov. 2006 and will stay till 15th Feb 2007.

I wish to know about my tax liability for these 3 months. What i understood from last few mails related to Tax slabs is that, if we work for more than 60 days than we need to pay 15% tax (flat rate) on total salary earned during that period. Furthermore the Financial year in Singapore is Jan to Dec.

So, in my case, do I need to
1. Pay the tax at 15% (flat) on the salary earned during 10-Nov-2006 to 15-Feb-2007
or
2. There would be no tax from 10-Nov-2006 to 31-Dec-2006 as Financial year is till Dec end. Hence, my stay/working in Singapore will be less than 60 days in this financial year and hence no tax for this period. Furthermore, from 1st Jan '07 to 15th Feb '07, the total days will be 46 days. Again less than 60 days. Hence no tax.

Please let me know which of the above will be applicable.

Thanks in advance.

Rgds,
Shyam
