It is imperative that you have a strong background and demonstrable experience within a similar role.
You will either have been an architect that loves to get his hands dirty with J2EE coding, or already be the solutions designer within your organization.
This role is to provide detailed logical design of object oriented, multi-tiered systems, satisfying the business functional and non-functional requirements within the organizations target architecture.
The desired candidate should have at least 7 years recent J2EE development experience using JSP, Servlets, JMS and MDBs. Or other suitable object oriented design experience.
The desired candidate should have strong UML conversion experience into code, with a good understanding of UML, XML, and XSLT.
The desired candidate should have a strong background with the technical validation of business requirements and the strong data analysis and database design experience.
It is very important that the candidate displays strong communication skills
Experience:
7-9 years relevant work experience.
Educational Background:
Education
Any Graduation
Work Background:
Have worked on heavily Multi-threaded applications (or engines)
Socket servers/clients applications compliant to RFC specs.

Data encoding, encryption, compression
Skill Sets:
Implemented "Data Access Layers"
Multi-threaded applications
TCP/UDP socket servers/clients
Good "usability analysis" skills for designing and reviewing User Interfaces
Designed web-based User Interface components

JVM assembly programming
Byte Code Decompilers
Custom class loaders
Knowledge:
The candidate should have thorough knowledge and if possible
Hands-on experience (where ever appropriate) in the following areas.
Java Language Specification (JLS)
Java Memory Model
JVM Internals like initialization, shutdown, usage of class path etc.
Threading and concurrent programming
Race Conditions, deadlocks, Garbage collection mechanism and other threading and synchronization concepts
Primary data structures in JAVA, their implementation details (pros and cons)
Software Design Patterns and their implementations in JAVA
Designing and implementing huge in-memory data structures in JAVA, using caches for faster data access.
Implementing standard Data Structures like stacks, queues, linked lists etc in JAVA
Implementing algorithms for sorting, searching in JAVA
Using JNI to interface with native libraries.
Data encoding standards like binary, ASCII, base64 etc
Distributed technologies like RMI, CORBA, SOAP.
