MAINFRAME STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR
* 4 to 6 years experience in MVS Mainframe and Storage Management.
* Experience in Storage Implementation Life Cycle & Project
Management
Skills Required
MAINFRAME STORAGE ADMINISTRATOR
* Knowledge in the following Storage:
* EMC DMX Series Product
* IBM-ESS Series Product
* HDS Lightning Series Product
* Knowledge of basic MVS Mainframe Skills:
* Z/OS, JCL, ISPF, SDSF, JES2
* Knowledge IBM MVS Mainframe storage skills:
* DFSMS, DFHSM, DFDSS
* Knowledge of the following would be an advantage
* STK VSM or IBM VTS
* FujitsuSiemens CentriStor
* StorageTek, SILO
* Connectivity (CD9000) / FICON
* IODF
* Tape Management (CA1), STK HSC or IBM RMM
* EMC Consistency Group & Infomover
* Programming skills (SAS, REX, CLIST, etc)
* SRS/ACC or Stop X37
* BMC SRM
* EMC SRDF / TimeFinder or IBM PPRC
* Knowledge in Storage Implementation Life Cycle & Project
Management.
Job Description
Mainframe Storage Administrator will be responsible for the following
tasks:
* Participate in design, integration and implementation of standard
infrastructure technical solution
* Plan and implement TI and business projects.
* Communicate, monitor, and enforce policies and standards regarding
service, scheduling, problem management and security during project
implementation
* Plan, install, and test systems software to ensure an efficient
data processing environment during the project implementation phase.
* Interface with vendor and project sponsors for problem handling and
resolutions during project implementation
* Ensure a proper handover of the projects implementation to
Operations Support
* Implement Security Policy in compliance with standards in the
projects
* To follow and support the SILC process and provide necessary
documentations
* Implement system related procedures incompliance with standards in
the projects
