Origem Solutions has an Opening for the following Position to join us
On a Permanent basis.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS - SECURITY OPERATIONS OFFICER
· Knowledge on Windows and Unix system administration
·Understanding on Security concepts
·CISSP or CISA trained (preferable)
·Schedule and conduct regular meetings with the Delivery team on the
security status
·Delegate delivery tasks and follow up to make sure they are
completed.
·Monitor progression of Security projects
·Coordinate consistent security coverage throughout the year.
·Attend and actively participate in weekly meetings. Contribute
agenda items when appropriate.
Enforce Security Policies
·Respond promptly to reported security violations received from
customer.
·Investigate validity of report (check appropriate logs, request
further information).
·Follow up with affected customer regarding the cause of the incident
(assess customer's awareness of the situation, clearly communicate
customer security policies regardless of the customer's response).
Conduct audits and collect evidence on customer's machines when
necessary.
·Document and update security incidents with in-house incident
tracking system. Communicate case status and findings to the customer
security security focal point.
·Assist in developing tools and procedures to monitor for security
enforcement.
Administrative Duties
·Add appropriate Network Security projects to the project tool and
keep project status updated in the tool.
·Ensure that all Security projects and ongoing operations are
documented
·Meet with the Technology Delivery Project Managere
·Generate summary reports of security incident statistics.
·Check email daily.
·Other duties as assigned.
Proactive Security
·Identify and notify user of vulnerable computers, including pending
large-scale vulnerabilities.
·Investigate suspicious network activity (bandwidth spikes, DHCP
problems).
·Develop and implement regular network scanning procedures.
Ongoing Training
·Read security mailing lists and websites (Secunia, Security Focus,
SAN, CERT) in order to keep up-to-date with the latest security
issues. (*)
·Investigate new security tools and technologies that may be suitable
for deployment
