Tioman is pack of small islands.. it is interesting as you can laze around and do snoorkling etc..
I dont recollect which port. But you need to reach a port and then take a ferry which is around 1 hr i think to reach these islands. Buses are there to take you to this port. HOWEVER KEEP THIS IN MIND. On your return back, see to it that you reach the port before 12:30pm as the last bus which moves out from there is 12:30 to 1:00pm to the city. However there are ferries until the evening. If you miss the BUS then you have no choice but to take the PVT taxi's. They will be aware that u missed the bus n you have no choice. So they will ask a a BIG amount for the taxi. we paid I think around 150RM for a 15- 25 mns drive.
The above was around 2-3 yrs back. I am not sure if the BUS frequency have changed. Just keep this in mind.
