Bangkok : Grand palace, ayutthaya (1 day trip), floating market (there are two usually they ppl get cheated when they take bigger boats but if you take smaller one's they will take you throught narrow lanes of floating market) , lots and lots of buddist temple , tiger zoo (where the elephant and real tiger show takes place) this is on the way to pattaya.
Malaysia : Depends on places you want to visit if
KL : Battu caves , petronas , sunway lagoon , putra jaya(+boat ride in artifical lake).
Penang : few hindu temples , buddist temple,water sports
Lankawi : cable car better than the one in hong kong.
(to travel around malaysia , you dont need any travel agent as it has good n/w of buses and taxi is cheep)
