Thank you for the long helpful painstaking mail.

You may be a little too late in getting the tickets. But please do
try.
Let me warn you...it¡¦s a long journey. Whatever the normal journey
hours is, please do add 2 to 3 hrs (delay) to it since it¡¦s the Hari
Raya and Deepavali holidays. The traffic jam is really bad in
Malaysian highways during Hari Raya. Be prepared to be very patient
as the journey uphill is slow on bus.
Go to Golden Mile Complex at Beach Road. You can take Bus No. 100
from Raffles MRT. There are a few agent there, like Alisan and
Gunung Raya. You may buy ur tickets there.
They sell packages with hotel accom too if I am not mistaken.
If u dont get a direct ticket, you can take a bus to Puduraya Bus
Terminal, KL and hire a taxi to CH. its in the same building as the
bus terminal. This is a little extra inconvenience. But if you are a
travel freak you won¡¦t mind the waiting.
The long hours will be worth it. CH is a small Indian settlement
(originally).
The locals are friendly people. Talk to them for directions and
places to eat etc. They are helpful. If you are vegetarians you wont
have difficulties as there are Indian restaurants. Try looking for
SHAHs. They are a little pricey but the food is good there.
IF ure non-vegetarian, try out those little cafes you see that
offers western food etc.
Do visit The Old Smokehouse. It¡¦s a very expensive cottage style
accommodation. If you are a person of wine and dine do go there for
dinner. You will love the ambiance. Rooms are very expensive here at
about RM500 per night.
You will fall in love with the flowers there. The roses are really
cheap. There are vegetable farms and flowers and cactus farms.
Do check with the hotel as the may have day tours organized. You
MUST MUST visit the tea plantation and tea factory.
The tours are cheap and reasonable. No one will try to cheat u
there. Like i said its a small and happy peaceful town.
There are horse riding, waterfalls, jungle trekking and tempels to
visit. Get the travel info pamplet from Malaysian Tourism Board in
Robinson Road. Its directly opposite Lau Pa sat. Or you can get them
at the hotels in CH.
It rains in Malaysia all year round being closer to the Equator.
Just like Singapore la. So it is a risk you have to take. Bring an
umbrella. Dnt be a baby. Even if it rains do go out. Rain won¡¦t kill
you.
Bring some long sleeve shirts or a light jacket. It is not too cold,
but u cant wear sleeveless or singlets there either :)
The weather will make you lazy. Don¡¦t be lazy. Wake up early
morning, take a walk, watch the sunrise, have breakfast with the
locals, go to the neighbourhood temples etc.
CH Is not a place to Club. No pubs or discos. Not a palce with big
monuments either. It¡¦s a place to ret and relax and enjoy the
breathtaking view.
Don¡¦t worry about motion sickness la. Bring an Axe brand oil with
you ok?
I love Camerons. Been there twice and I hope ill buy a big mansion
and retire there someday when I become very rich or if i win the
Singapore Big Sweep. Hehehehe.
Dont bother visiting Genting. Keep Genting for another long weekend.
You wont be able to handle both places in one go.
Ill advise on Genting another day. Now I gotto enjoy my cameronian
tea¡K bye ƒº
