The current versions of Microsoft Windows does not ship with CDONTS.dll that was used to send the mail via ASP / ASP.NET programs earlier. Currently MS is encouraging and supporting the use of CDOSYS.dll replacing the CDONTS. As CDOSYS is an entirely different component compared to that of CDONTS, the same methods and properties may not be available and hence your program fails. Replace you code using CDOSYS and it should be good enough. But please keep in view that for CDOSYS there needs to be an smtp server authentication and thats a must or else the code will fail in sending the mail. The main purpose in discontinuing the the support for CDONTS is to avoid spamming as it doesnt need any smtp server authentication.
