Basically you cannot surrenter citizen becos you cannot get back you indian citizen. There is no law to apply indian citzen back.
If you take any other contry and want to surrender singapore citizen then you need to pay housing subisidy with market interest rate for the period which you enjoyed.
So better don't lose your indian citizen.

it is very interesting to know about it. my friends
left earlier, they did not come across this issue.
they may not 'enjoyed' any subsidies on education and
hospitalisation. i don't think there is "others" as
there are no other subsidies for PRs to my knowledge.
what about "surrendering citizenship" ? are they liable
for deductions? if so, housing subsidy is too much to
pay back.
share your experience please.
